IEU congratulates retiring Maitland-Newcastle Director of Schools Ray Collins on over 40 years service to Catholic education.
We thank Ray for the support he has shown the IEU and acknowledge the advice that he gives to all new teachers to join the Union.
Ray has always demonstrated a willingness to meet and work with the Union and has shown great compassion for many members experiencing difficulties.
IEU Organiser Therese Fitzgibbon said that “while we have had our battles over the years, Ray has always shown respect for the role of the Union and has encouraged teachers and support staff to be involved”. I am sure he will be missed by many IEU members.
