The Union is eager to finalise negotiations for a new Enterprise Agreement (EA) for NSW Catholic independent schools (CIS). The settlement of most matters in Catholic systemic schools should facilitate resolution of some similar issues in the IEU CIS claim. There are other outstanding issues, however, that apply just to Catholic independent schools. Further there are salary issues specific to individual schools or groups of schools. These are yet to be finalised.
The Union wrote to the Catholic Commission for Employment Relations (CCER) on 14 April outlining our current position on salaries following consultation with our members. A meeting to discuss these matters has now been set for Wednesday 13 May.
