I send great solidarity to all members of the Independent Education Union as you face another battle around improved wages and conditions.
You’ve seen nurses stand up and fight back and we’ll continue to do so. It’s critically important that unions support each other in making sure we get better outcomes – that there are fair and just wages and conditions.
We want to see a better health care system. We want to see an education system that can deliver for our communities. So we stand together.
We all go to work every day to deliver a better NSW. Teachers and nurses deserve to be properly recognised and rewarded for that.
We have been undervalued. We need to stand up and fight back to get decent wages and conditions.
